Review : The Body Shop Festive Body Butter Trio ( Cranberry Joy, Ginger Sparkle, Vanilla Bliss )

Hola chicas! Today I’m reviewing for you the Festive Body Butter Trio by The Body Shop, which contains 3 different body butters as the name suggests, Cranberry Joy / Ginger Sparkle / Vanilla Bliss. I’ve already reviewed the Vanilla Bliss one here, so check it out if you want. I know that many people do their festive shopping early, but there are plenty as well who prefer last minute shopping and this trio is a great gift idea!

Packaging : 3 little plastic jars (red, brown, pastel yellow) in a box. Each jar holds 50ml (1.7 fl. Oz.), so it’s a mini body butter and not a full size. I love the idea of having 3 different mini body butters to choose from, because a full size one lasts forever and you’re stuck with 1 scent for a long time. The 3 little jars are really nice and festive and they’re great for travelling since they’re small.  

Scent : Cranberry Joy, which is my favorite, smells exactly like cranberry, fruity and slightly sour (not too sour though, just a little bit). Ginger Sparkle smells like spicy ginger, but there’s also some sweetness to it a couple of minutes after application, I don’t love it at first but when it starts smelling sweet I like it a lot. Vanilla Bliss smells like spicy vanilla, which is something different than a regular vanilla scent. I’m not usually a fan of vanilla scented products, but I can handle this one. Don’t forget that the chemistry between each product and your skin defines the way the product will smell on you, so maybe try them on at the store first.

Color & Texture : Cranberry Joy has a light pink color, Ginger Sparkle a salmon color and Vanilla Bliss a pastel yellow color. All 3 body butters are thick, but not too thick like the Shea one, which is too thick for me. They spread easily and they get absorbed by the skin pretty quickly, but keep in mind that they’re body butters and not body lotions, so they might leave a thin protective layer on your skin. They won’t stain anything though, so don’t worry.

Usage & Results: I use body butters at night only after taking a shower on my legs (from my knees down) and on my feet, as they’re quite moisturizing and I don’t need moisture all over my body, just on my dry areas. They contain different butters and natural oils, so if you have dry skin on your body go ahead and use them all over.

Γεια σας κορίτσια μου όμορφα! Σήμερα θα σας πω την άποψή μου για το σετάκι με τα γιορτινά Body Butters Trio των The Body Shop, το οποίο περιέχει 3 διαφορετικά body butters, δηλαδή Cranberry Joy / Ginger Sparkle / Vanilla Bliss. Σας έχω ήδη πει την άποψή μου για το Vanilla Bliss εδώ, οπότε δείτε το αν θέλετε. Ξέρω ότι πολλοί άνθρωποι κάνουν τις γιορτινές τους αγορές νωρίς, αλλά υπάρχουν και πολλοί που προτιμούν τα ψώνια της τελευταίας στιγμής και αυτό το σετάκι αποτελεί τέλεια ιδέα για δώρο!

Συσκευασία : 3 μικρά πλαστικά βαζάκια (κόκκινο, καφέ, παστέλ κίτρινο) σε χάρτινο κουτί. Κάθε βαζάκι περιέχει 50ml, οπότε είναι ένα body butter σε μικρό και όχι κανονικό μέγεθος. Λατρεύω την ιδέα του να έχεις να διαλέξεις από 3 διαφορετικά μικρά body butters, γιατί το αντίστοιχο κανονικού μεγέθους (200ml) κρατάει αιώνες και κολλάς με μία μυρωδιά για πολύ καιρό. Τα 3 μικρά βαζάκια είναι πολύ όμορφα και γιορτινά και είναι ό,τι πρέπει για ταξίδια μιας και είναι μικρούλια.

Άρωμα : Το Cranberry Joy, το οποίο είναι το αγαπημένο μου, μυρίζει ακριβώς όπως τα cranberries, φρουτένια και λίγο ξινά (ελάχιστα όμως). Το Ginger Sparkle μυρίζει σαν πικάντικη πιπερόριζα (τζίντζερ), αλλά βγάζει και μια γλύκα μερικά λεπτά μετά την εφαρμογή, στην αρχή δε θα έλεγα ότι μου αρέσει, αλλά όταν αρχίσει να βγαίνει αυτή η γλυκιά μυρωδιά μου αρέσει πολύ. Το Vanilla Bliss μυρίζει σαν πικάντικη βανίλια, το οποίο είναι κάτι το διαφορετικό σε σχέση με τη συνηθισμένη μυρωδιά της βανίλιας που ξέρουμε. Γενικά δε μου αρέσει η μυρωδιά της βανίλιας, αλλά το συγκεκριμένο προϊόν μπορώ να το χρησιμοποιήσω χωρίς να με ενοχλεί η μυρωδιά. Μην ξεχνάτε ότι η χημεία μεταξύ ενός προϊόντος και του δέρματός σας καθορίζει το πως θα μυρίζει το προϊόν πάνω σας, γι’αυτό δοκιμάστε τα στο κατάστημα πρώτα.

Χρώμα & Υφή : Το Cranberry Joy έχει ανοιχτό ροζ χρώμα, το Ginger Sparkle είναι σομόν και το Vanilla Bliss έχει ένα παστέλ κίτρινο χρώμα. Και τα 3 body butters είναι πηχτά, αλλά όχι πολύ πηχτά σαν το Shea για παράδειγμα, το οποίο παραείναι πηχτό για εμένα. Απλώνονται εύκολα και απορροφούνται σχετικά γρήγορα απ’το δέρμα, αλλά να θυμάστε πως είναι body butters και όχι body lotions, οπότε όλο και κάποιο προστατευτικό φιλμ θα αφήσουν στο δέρμα σας. Δεν αφήνουν λεκέδες όμως, οπότε μην ανησυχείτε.

Χρήση & Αποτελέσματα : Χρησιμοποιώ body butters μόνο το βράδυ μετά το μπάνιο στα πόδια μου (απ’τα γόνατα και κάτω) και στα πέλματα, γιατί είναι αρκετά ενυδατικά και δε χρειάζομαι ενυδάτωση σε όλο μου το σώμα, μόνο σε ξηρά σημεία. Περιέχουν διάφορα βούτυρα και φυσικά έλαια, οπότε αν έχετε ξηρό δέρμα στο σώμα σας μη διστάσετε να τα χρησιμοποιήσετε παντού.

Τιμή : €18 για συνολικά 150ml. Η τιμή νομίζω θα μπορούσε να ήταν λίγο χαμηλότερη, όμως τα The Body Shop βάζουν αρκετά συχνά προσφορές, οπότε μπορείτε να το πετύχετε σε χαμηλότερη τιμή.
