Monthly Favorites : September 2013

Hola chicas! How are you? We’re having some crazy weather here in Greece up until yesterday it was pretty cold and today it’s not, in fact we’re gonna have a mini summer in the next few days… whaaaaat??? lol! For this month surprisingly enough I have more makeup than skincare etc. to show you, because my skin has been freaking out since August (breakouts, dehydration etc.) and I decided to change my whole skincare routine, so I’m still in the process of trying out things. Let’s check out my September favorites! If I’ve swatched/ reviewed any of the products or used it in a FOTD, I will post the corresponding link to it.

Swatch Time : Lovie Lipsticks / Κραγιόν της Lovie (Greek brand)

Hola chicas! How are you? I was in the mood yesterday to swatch for you all of my Lovie lipsticks, which is a very affordable Greek brand. I’ve swatched all of the lipsticks on bare skin with nothing underneath and I’ve packed them on, so that you can see the colors, but you can definitely sheer them out if you dab them on instead of swiping them. I’ve also included two pictures as you can see, one in direct sunlight and the bottom one just in natural daylight.

Hola chicas! How are you? It’s pretty hot in Athens and yes it already smells like summer! I know that some of you hate summer, but I love it! I love the sun, the sea, the warmth, the day that lasts longer. Since I’m getting ready for summer, I have many favorites for the month of April, so grab a cup of coffee or a glass of juice and enjoy! If I’ve swatched/reviewed any of the products, I will post the corresponding link to it!

Miscellaneous : Do it like Blake Lively, but cheaper!

Hey girls! About a month ago Mary from the blog Madeinheart did a blog post on a look of Blake Lively that she found on Polyvore and how to achieve it with less expensive products. She asked me if I wanted to collaborate with her and do something similar, so I did and I tried to find products even cheaper than Mary! Take a look at the original picture with Blake Lively:

Powder, nail polish, perfume, lipstick, lipgloss, lipliner, mascara, eye brush, eyeliner : total of €213 !!!! (prices found online by Mary)

Here’s my version :

Essence Maximum Definition Volume Mascara (around €3.50)
Essence Gel Eyeliner in Midnight in Paris (€3.99)
BU Free Spirit Eau de Toilette (around €9.90)
Essence Colour & Go Nail Polish in 115 Redvolution (€2)
NYX Long Pencil Lip in Plush Red (around €4)
Elf Mineral Booster in Sheer (around €6)
Elf Contour Brush (around €4)
Elf Lip Stain in Red Carpet (around €4)
Lovie Lipstick in Nr. 19 (€2)

Total : around €40! Not bad at all, huh? You don’t have to pay a fortune in order to look polished you know! Damn, I know… Blake Lively would look good even if she was wearing clown makeup and a plastic trash bag, but hey we can look great as well wearing her makeup! So, would you try a look like that?

As for the silver smiley face necklace I won it in a facebook giveaway hosted by Silver Union a few months back and I wore it so much last month. It's so unique and it makes me smile! :) So, which products did you enjoy the most during the month of October? Do we have any in common? Let me know in the comments below! ;)

Nail Stuff

Essence Vampire’s Love  Nail Polish in 05 Hunt Me If You Can ( it was LE, but Galactic Black from their regular line is basically the same)
Essence Nail Colour 3 in 06 Ticket to the Show (the darker side)

I'm still loving that Vampire's Love from Essence, but during the month of September I paired it with the darker side of the other Essence nail polish shown in the picture, which is basically a black with multicolor shimmer in it! I used the Vampire's Love as a base and then the other one on top. You couldn't really tell a difference from plain black nail polish, unless the sun hit it, but it was really pretty anyway haha! So, which products did you enjoy the most during the month of September? Do we have any in common? Let me know in the comments below! ;)
